Artist Statement
I am creating digital artwork and animation using nature and entropy to explore the fragility of life. "Death in the midst of life" is a concept that I had in mind while creating my works. I was partially inspired by my garden and the single plant that withered while the rest bloomed and lived. I wanted to capture that concept in various ways and bring forth the idea of how fragile life can be. Fractals are also employed to signify the continuation and end of life. I depict decay slowly encroaching on my living elements. This decay takes the form of de-saturation in certain areas, disintegration, hue change, or the ending of a fractal pattern
